Special
Features
The Windows environment is ideal for quickly drawing the pipe network and
boundary conditions. A pipeline can literally be drawn in minutes. The network
may be a simple pipeline with multiple pipes or a complex looped distribution
network.
Hytran can attempt a steady state analysis before a transient run and then
save the results as the start conditions prior to a transient analysis.
Hytran carries out extensive hysraulic checks to ensure the start conditions
are consistent. A run-in time may be used to smooth out minor transients
caused by inconsisitency in the input data. A special benefit of the real
time trasnient display is that suspect transients can be spotted immedialtely
in the form of erratic and sudden appearances of spikes.
